A Whimsical Cinematic Adventure for Little Ones

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Children aged 2 to 6 experience their first cinema visit in our cozy theater. On Sunday mornings, toddlers and preschoolers enjoy Taartrovers Cinemini, a special program where they watch films and play in a beautiful landscape of light. Also on February 14, Valentine's Day! During Taartrovers Cinemini, we showcase a selection of beautiful, charming, exciting, abstract, narrative, and sometimes challenging short films tailored for young children. After the screening, visitors can engage in play within a light landscape, featuring various installations that invite children to discover how light can create stories. They explore shapes, projection, light, shadow, narratives, movement, and color. How do shadows form? Where do images come from? How do shapes grow larger or disappear? For adults, shadows are commonplace; for children, they may seem like magic that transforms them into long giants. PROGRAM In the kitchen is fun – stirring pots, chopping, tasting, and smelling. But it's dull without company. Cooking and sharing meals together is the real celebration! Will you join us? - **Bubel's Kitchen**: An ambitious little mushroom dreams of being a chef amidst the challenges of his toxic nature, striving to attract customers at the market. - **Franzy's Soup Kitchen**: A tale of an alien chef who discovers that her magical pink soup can bring joy and nourishment to hungry beings on a strange planet. - **Baker Boris**: Watch as Boris, who discovers he's allergic to flour, attempts to bake bread and solves this surprising dilemma. Taartrovers Cinemini is developed by Taartrovers and the Eye Filmmuseum.
