Cinemini: Rita & Krokodil

Children aged 2 to 6 will experience their first cinema visit in our cozy film theater. On Sunday mornings, toddlers and preschoolers enjoy Taartrovers Cinemini, a special program where they watch films and play in a magical light landscape. During Taartrovers Cinemini, we screen beautiful, gentle, exciting, abstract, narrative, and sometimes even challenging short films specifically for toddlers and preschoolers. After the films, the little ones can play together in a light landscape filled with various installations, allowing them to discover how light can create stories. They will explore shape, projection, light, shadow, narrative, movement, and color. How do shadows form? Where do images come from, how do shapes grow or shrink, and how do forms disappear into nothing? And what stories can they see in the shapes? For adults, shadows are something ordinary, but for children, it may feel like a wizard turning adults into tall giants. PROGRAM With Krokodil around, there's always something happening! Rita and her ever-hungry friend, Krokodil, return to experience more adventures. Together, they go to the cinema, explore space, and even visit the swimming pool. Rita is small and determined; Krokodil is real (he lives in the bathtub!), even if others can’t see him. Together, they will play in grandma's garden or disappear on an adventure under the carpet.
