Children aged 2 to 6 experience their first cinema visit in our cozy screening room. On Sunday mornings, toddlers and preschoolers enjoy Taartrovers Cinemini, a special program where they watch films and play in a beautiful light landscape. During Taartrovers Cinemini, we showcase charming, lovely, exciting, abstract, narrative, and sometimes challenging short films, tailored for toddlers and preschoolers. After the screenings, the young visitors play together in a light landscape made up of various installations that allow kids to discover how light can create stories in a playful way. They explore shape, projection, light, shadow, storytelling, movement, and color. How do shadows form? Where do images come from? How do shapes grow or shrink, and how do they disappear into nothing? What stories can they see in these forms? For adults, shadows are commonplace, but for kids, it can feel like magic turning the grown-ups into tall giants. PROGRAM What do you want to find? It chooses to relax during the day and enjoy the moonlight at night when everyone else is asleep. Moonflower is a funny, graphical short animation that reminds you it's okay to choose your own path. WASHING MACHINE Gurli Bachmann, 2022 Germany 7 minutes Two socks are completely in love with each other. But during the spin cycle, they suddenly get lost from each other.
