ABOUT THIS EVENT
Children aged 2 to 6 will experience their first cinema visit in our cozy cinema hall. On Sunday mornings, toddlers and preschoolers enjoy Taartrovers Cinemini, a unique program where they watch films and play in a beautiful landscape of light.
During Taartrovers Cinemini, we showcase delightful, exciting, and sometimes challenging short films designed specifically for young audiences. After the films, kids will play together in a light landscape filled with various installations that help them discover how light can create stories. They will explore shapes, projection, light, shadow, storytelling, movement, and color. How do shadows form? Where do images come from? How do shapes change in size and disappear? What stories can they see in those shapes? To adults, shadow may seem ordinary, but to children, it might just be a wizard turning grown-ups into tall giants.
**PROGRAM**
A journey that takes him further from home… will he ever return?
**MANNETJE TAK**
Jeroen Jaspaert, Daniel Snaddon, 2015
United Kingdom
26 minutes
Mannetje Tak lives happily and contentedly with his family in an ancient oak tree. One day while jogging, he is mistaken for various objects—first a stick for play, then a twig for weaving in a swan's nest, later a flagpole or sword. Gradually, Mannetje Tak finds himself further from home. Just when he loses hope of ever returning, he meets Santa Claus.
