Cinemini: Upside Down Adventures

Children aged 2 to 6 years will experience their first trip to the cinema in our cozy screening room. On Sunday mornings, toddlers and preschoolers can enjoy Taartrovers Cinemini, a unique program where they watch films and play in a beautiful light landscape. During Taartrovers Cinemini, we showcase lovely, exciting, abstract, storytelling, and sometimes challenging short films specially crafted for young audiences. After the films, visitors join in play within a light landscape composed of various installations that encourage children to explore how light can create stories. They discover shapes, projections, light, shadows, tales, movement, and color. How are shadows formed? Where do images come from, how do shapes grow or shrink, and how do they vanish into nothingness? For adults, shadows are ordinary; for children, they might just be magic that transforms them into giants. PROGRAM: We take a peek at the world from a different perspective, as we turn everything upside down. This lighthearted and comical film program invites you to be amazed and laugh at the same time. Sometimes we are in the air, and at other times underground.
