ABOUT THIS EVENT
Discover two compelling Dutch 360 VR films that showcase how local creators are redefining the medium. '8 Billion Ikken' by Nemo Vos offers a provocative nightmare about our hyper-capitalist world, softened by the melancholic sounds of Spinvis. 'The Art of Change' by Vincent Rooijers is a deeply personal audiovisual journey that transcends time and space, having premiered at the Venice Film Festival where it received acclaim for its innovative and emotional approach.
**8 Billion Ikken**
This VR experience is not a traditional film, but rather a sensory portrait of our time, narrated through a medium that is still discovering its own language. In this poetic space, every experience is unique: only you see, feel, and live it in your own way, amidst 8 billion others. You travel through a world where 8 billion people are born, work, wage war, love, dance, create art, and die. A stream of images and sounds takes you through the beauty, banality, and complexity of human existence.
**The Art of Change**
'On The Art of Change reflect on life stages and their echoes through time and space. Fully painted and animated in VR using Quill (a VR drawing program), it offers a groundbreaking musical journey featuring original music from DROELOE. Through virtual space, seamless transitions, and increasingly complex environments, this immersive project redefines the way we experience music.
