Dive into the Lost Films of Yesteryear

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Film scholars Anke Brouwers and Kate Saccone delve into forgotten film fragments from lost films, showcasing how unexpected visuals can surprise, inspire, and enchant us. While we can still marvel at many silent film classics in their full glory today, numerous silent films no longer exist or remain only in fragments: incomplete, cut, or unidentified. Often, we must settle for films without their grand opening sequences, crucial key scenes, and thrilling conclusions. What remains of these films is subject to our imagination, as they will likely never be shown in their entirety again. With 'Neverending Stories', film scholars Kate Saccone and Anke Brouwers shine a spotlight on these often invisible—yet difficult to program—films, which, even in their incomplete versions, are frequently beautiful, funny, charming, and captivating. They are forever 'unfinished' stories, yet filled with promise and potential. Experience an entire weekend filled with silent films and live music. Choose a day pass or a full weekend pass and immerse yourself in the world of early cinema. Day Pass & Full Weekend Pass
