An Enchanting Movie Experience for Young Kids

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Children aged 2 to 6 can enjoy their first cinema visit in our cozy film room. On Sunday mornings, toddlers and preschoolers experience Taartrovers Cinemini, a special program where they watch captivating short films and play in a beautiful landscape of light. During Taartrovers Cinemini, we screen delightful, exciting, abstract, storytelling, and even thought-provoking short films, specifically chosen for toddlers and preschoolers. After the films, the little visitors can engage in a light landscape filled with various installations, allowing them to explore how light can create narratives. They'll investigate concepts like shape, projection, light, shadow, storytelling, movement, and color. How do shadows form? Where do images come from, how do shapes change size, and how do they disappear? For adults, shadows are commonplace, but for children, they can seem like magic creating towering figures of grown-ups. PROGRAM What do you do at night? When night falls and it seems the whole world is asleep, so much is still happening! The sun gets ready for its next rise, bats awaken for adventure, the moon goes missing, and a stuffed toy thief is on the loose. Stay awake and take a peek into the night! **Film Selections:** - **THE TINY PRINCE** by Zoëa Trofimovaz, 2003, France, 7 minutes - **LUCE AND THE ROCK** by Elena Walf, 2015, Germany, 4 minutes - **SOONER OR LATER** by Jadwiga Kowalska, 2007, Switzerland, 5 minutes - **WHERE IS MY MOON?** by Mi-young Baek, 2017, South Korea, 6 minutes - **WE ARE NOT AFRAID** by Virgine Costa, 2019, France, 4 minutes Join us for a magical experience where films and play come together!
