A Magical Cinematic Experience for Little Ones

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Children ages 2 to 6 can enjoy their first cinema visit in the cozy space of Natlab. On Sunday mornings, they will experience Taartrovers Cinemini, a unique program where films come to life, followed by playful exploration in a dazzling landscape of light. Also on February 14th, Valentine's Day! During Taartrovers Cinemini, a selection of charming, exciting, abstract, narrative, and sometimes challenging short films crafted specifically for young children will be screened. Afterward, the audience will play together in a light-filled landscape comprised of various installations designed for whimsical discovery of how light can tell stories. Kids will explore form, projection, light, shadow, movement, and color. How do shadows form? Where do images come from, and how do shapes change in size or disappear altogether? While adults view shadows as common, to children they may appear as magical figures that make giants out of them. PROGRAM: In the kitchen, it's fun to stir, chop, taste, and smell. But cooking and eating together is a true celebration! Will you join us? **BOBEL'S KITCHEN** Fiona Rolland, 2024, Belgium, 11 minutes. Touched by Bobel's loneliness, Milo decides to help him find customers, despite his mother's prohibitions. **FRANZY'S SOUP KITCHEN** Ana Chubinidze, 2022, France/Canada, 9 minutes.
