ABOUT THIS EVENT
Children aged 2 to 6 experience their first cinema visit in our cozy screening room. On Sunday mornings, toddlers and preschoolers enjoy Taartrovers Cinemini, a special program where they immerse themselves in films and get to play in a stunning light landscape.
During Taartrovers Cinemini, we screen beautiful, sweet, exciting, abstract, narrative, and sometimes challenging short films, specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers. After the screenings, children play together in a light landscape made of various installations, allowing them to explore how light can create stories. They investigate form, projection, light, shadow, tales, movement, and color. How do shadows form? Where do images come from? How do shapes grow or shrink, and how do they disappear into nothing? And what stories can they find within these shapes? For adults, shadows are a given, but for children, it might just be a wizard that turns grown-ups into tall giants.
