Cinemini: Rita & Krokodil - A Magical First Cinema Experience

Children aged 2 to 6 will experience their first cinema visit in our cozy screening room. Every Sunday morning, toddlers and preschoolers will enjoy Taartrovers Cinemini, a special program where they not only watch films but also play in a beautiful light landscape. During Taartrovers Cinemini, we showcase touching, exciting, and sometimes challenging short films specifically selected for young audiences. After the screening, children will explore and play together in a light landscape filled with various installations that encourage them to discover how light can tell stories. They will investigate shapes, projections, light, shadows, narratives, movement, and color. How do shadows form? Where do images come from? How do shapes grow or shrink and vanish into thin air? For adults, shadows are commonplace; for children, they can seem like magic, transforming adults into towering giants. **PROGRAM**: With Krokodil around, there’s always something to experience! Rita and her always-hungry friend Krokodil are back for even more adventures. Together, they will go to the movies, explore space, and visit the swimming pool. **RITA & KROKODIL**: Directed by Siri Melchior, 2018, Denmark, 25 minutes For Rita, every day is a huge, colorful adventure. With her large, ever-hungry friend Krokodil nearby, she will never be bored. Rita is small but determined: Krokodil is real (in the bathtub!), even if others can’t see him. Together they play in grandma’s garden or embark on explorations under the carpet. With Krokodil, they can go to the movies, the pool, birthday parties, and even… travel through space!
