An Enchanting Cinematic Experience for Kids
ABOUT THIS EVENT
Children aged 2 to 6 can enjoy their very first cinema visit in our cozy screening room. On Sunday mornings, toddlers and preschoolers experience Taartrovers Cinemini, a special program where they can watch films and play in a stunning light landscape.
During Taartrovers Cinemini, we present beautiful, sweet, thrilling, abstract, narrative, and sometimes challenging short films specifically for toddlers and preschoolers. After the film, attendees can play together in a light landscape composed of various installations, allowing children to discover how light can create stories in a playful manner. They explore shape, projection, light, shadow, storytelling, movement, and color. How do shadows form? Where do images come from, how do shapes grow or shrink, and how do they vanish into thin air? What stories can they see in the shapes? For adults, shadow may seem ordinary, but for children, it might feel like a wizard making long giants out of grown-ups.

As the storm rages across the marsh, little owl Shooom hatches from the egg only to be blown out of the nest. With an extra egg on his back, Shooom waddles into the marsh forest, determined to find a mother for himself and the egg. Even if that mother turns out to be an alligator or a raccoon.
