ABOUT THIS EVENT
Children aged 2 to 6 will experience their very first cinema outing in our cozy screening room. On Sunday mornings, toddlers and preschoolers can enjoy Taartrovers Cinemini, a unique program where they watch films and play in a beautiful landscape of light.
During Taartrovers Cinemini, we showcase charming, exciting, abstract, narrative, and sometimes challenging short films, specially curated for young audiences. After the screening, children engage in hands-on play within a light landscape, exploring various installations that help them discover how light can tell stories. They investigate form, projection, light, shadow, narrative, movement, and color. How do shadows form? Where do images come from, how do shapes grow or shrink, and how do shapes sometimes vanish into thin air? What stories can they see in these shapes? While shadows may be mundane for adults, for children, they can seem like magic that transforms them into towering giants.

Dries is a young dragon who desires to do much more than he is capable of. He dreams of flying, roaring, and breathing fire like the best, especially wanting his teacher to notice. He wishes to be a hero, but he is quite clumsy and struggles. Until, just maybe, he can achieve it! Together with a brave girl, he takes action and becomes a hero after all!
