ABOUT THIS EVENT
Children aged 2 to 6 will experience their first trip to the cinema in our cozy screening room. On Sunday mornings, toddlers and preschoolers will enjoy Taartrovers Cinemini, a unique program where they watch films and play in a beautiful light landscape.
During Taartrovers Cinemini, we screen lovely, exciting, abstract, narrative, and sometimes challenging short films specifically curated for toddlers and preschoolers. Afterwards, young visitors get to explore a light landscape filled with various installations, discovering how light can create stories through play. They will investigate form, projection, light, shadow, storytelling, movement, and color. How do shadows form? Where do images come from, how do shapes grow smaller or larger, and how can shapes vanish into thin air? What narratives can they find within these forms? For adults, shadow is a mundane concept, but for children, it may be a wizard transforming grown-ups into towering giants.
**PROGRAM**
Meet the insect family through an unexpected perspective enhanced by beautiful sound effects and stunning animation style, making this series a hit in France. Notably, the directors alternate animations with documentary footage, bringing nature even closer.
**MINUSCULE**
By Thomas Szabo & Hélène Giraud, 2006, France, 25 minutes
The animals narrate their own story in Minuscule. Insects may seem tiny, but viewing the world through their eyes changes everything. Ants, spiders, crane flies, and ladybugs are endowed with human traits and find themselves in amusing everyday situations. Join the insects on their adventures across meadows filled with grass and flowers!
