VR Interactive Experience: A Long Goodbye

In this animated, interactive VR experience, we step into the shoes of Ida, a 72-year-old pianist living with dementia. A Long Goodbye is a poetic exploration of the prolonged farewell between two loved ones who have shared a life together. Experience a day in Ida's life as her reality slowly fades. The apartment, where she has spent her entire life with her beloved husband Daniel, initially feels empty and undefined. As we interact with objects and play audio recordings of her husband, her playful world gradually comes to life, as if being painted before our eyes. Puzzle pieces of memories and conversations help Ida rediscover herself while Daniel clings to hope, realizing their remaining time together may be short. A Long Goodbye touches on the impact of dementia but ultimately celebrates love and the enduring farewell shared between two souls.
