In this animated, interactive VR experience, we step into the shoes of Ida, a 72-year-old pianist living with dementia. 'A Long Goodbye' offers a poetic exploration of the extended farewell between two beloved souls who have shared a life together. The story unfolds as we experience a day in Ida's life, where her reality slowly fades. Her apartment, once filled with memories of her husband Daniel, initially feels empty and undefined. As we interact with objects and play recordings of her husband, her vibrant world gradually comes to life, painted before our eyes. As puzzle pieces of memories and conversations come together, Ida begins to rediscover herself, all while Daniel grapples with the hope of maintaining their connection, aware that their time together may be limited.
