Children aged 2 to 6 can enjoy their first cinema visit in our cozy screening room. On Sunday mornings, toddlers and preschoolers experience Taartrovers Cinemini, a unique program where they not only watch films but also play in a beautiful landscape of light. During Taartrovers Cinemini, we present wonderful, sweet, exciting, abstract, narrative, and sometimes challenging short films specifically curated for young children. After the screening, attendees join in play within a light landscape featuring various installations that allow children to explore how light can create stories. They investigate form, projection, light, shadow, narrative, movement, and color—discovering how shadows are formed, where images come from, how shapes can grow smaller or larger, and how forms can vanish into nothingness. For adults, shadows might be a simple occurrence, but for children, they can seem magical. **PROGRAM** Together is more fun than alone! Together you can embark on extraordinary adventures, such as seeking out the third dimension or bringing a rocky creature back home. Will all their friends succeed? **RABBIT AND DEER** Peter Vacz, 2014 Hungary 16 minutes Rabbit and Deer live happily and worry-free until their friendship is tested by Deer’s new obsession: finding the formula for the third dimension.
