Where is My Libido? + Q&A with Nina Broers

Nina Broers, a filmmaker raised in Veldhoven and Eindhoven, won the prestigious Student Academy Award with her short film "Where is My Libido?". On September 21, we will screen her acclaimed film at Natlab, followed by an engaging Q&A session with Broers. The film delves into a young woman's journey to understand her sexual health issues, featuring two actors reenacting intimate situations from her past. Throughout these reconstructions, the film raises important questions about memory, boundaries, intentions, and consent. Broers' presentation is a documentary-style making-of that meticulously reveals the power dynamics at play both in front of and behind the camera, challenging viewers to think critically about the subjects of consent, masculinity, and control. Produced during her studies at St. Joost School of Art & Design in Breda, "Where is My Libido?" garnered the main prize in the Dutch competition at Go Short in 2025 and won a Student Academy Award in the Alternative/Experimental category a year later, selected from nearly three thousand international entries.
