OVER DIT EVENEMENT
Children aged 2 to 6 can experience their first cinema visit in our cozy movie theater. On Sunday mornings, they will enjoy Taartrovers Cinemini—an enchanting program where they watch films and play in a stunning light landscape. This event is also happening on October 4, Animal Day! Throughout Taartrovers Cinemini, we screen beautiful, heartwarming, thrilling, abstract, narrative, and sometimes challenging short films made especially for toddlers and preschoolers. After the films, children can play in a light landscape made up of various installations that allow them to discover how light can create stories. They will explore shapes, projection, light, shadow, narratives, movement, and color. During this creative exploration, questions arise: How do shadows form? Where do images come from? How do shapes grow or shrink, and how do they disappear? For adults, shadows are common, but for children, they can feel like magic, turning grown-ups into towering giants. The program views the world through the perspective of the Mole, with hand-illustrated images that guide viewers through everyday stories featuring familiar animals.
**THE MOLE** by Zdeněk Miler, 1957, Czech Republic, 25 minutes. This compilation of the beloved Czech animated films about the Mole and his friends is beautifully crafted, featuring soft illustrations and lovely colors. Taartrovers Cinemini is developed by Taartrovers and Eye Filmmuseum.
