BLACK JOY is a kaleidoscope of music, storytelling, and dance, where four Black Dutch women transform their struggles into an explosion of energy. With a soundtrack featuring Motown, soul, gospel, and R&B, this performance touches hearts and creates connections you cannot miss. In a city stands a wig factory specializing in Black hair, run by three powerful women who share music and stories. They welcome a new colleague, Joy, whose name feels ironic as she struggles against a world pulling her down. Despite her turmoil, melodies resonate among the hair and heads, bringing moments of song, dance, and laughter even amidst challenges.
