Explore the Intimate Stories of Four Strong Women across Time
OVER DIT EVENEMENT
Set in a secluded farm in the German Altmark, this film follows the intertwined lives of four girls from different eras: Alma in the 1910s, Erika in the 1940s, Angelika in the 1980s, and Lenka in 2020. As they navigate their own realities, echoes of the past reveal their unspoken fears, repressed traumas, and hidden secrets.
Alma fears following in the footsteps of her deceased namesake. Erika grapples with a dangerous fascination with her disabled uncle. Angelika finds herself caught in an unstable family, torn between life and death. Lenka, seemingly safe, struggles with her identity within her family and new surroundings. When a tragic event at the farm repeats itself, the boundaries between past and present begin to blur.
Through Her Lens is an international film night showcasing women's perspectives. All are welcome, no membership required. Experience films created by women or told through their lens, followed by a space for connection and discussion. This series is organized in collaboration with Thryves, bringing together entrepreneurs who understand that how we connect is as important as what we build.
