MARTIJN AKKERMAN (1952) is a jewelry historian who studied at Schoonhoven's trade school and worked with jeweler Fabery de Jonge and the Amsterdam auction house Mak van Waay. He is a jewelry expert for various art and antique fairs, including TEFAF, and for years has been sharing the stories behind unique jewelry as a regular expert on 'Tussen Kunst en Kitsch' and 'Blauw Bloed'.
