Yeni Şafak Solarken (New Dawn Fades) - A Journey Through Turkish Cinema

This program is part of the Red Tulip Festival, the only annual Turkish film festival spanning Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Eindhoven. This festival showcases the finest contemporary Turkish cinema. The Eindhoven edition is proudly organized by the Turkish Professionals Network Eindhoven (TPN-E). "New Dawn Fades" presents an intimate and unsettling portrait of Akın, a man ensnared in a labyrinth of medical bureaucracy and institutional indifference. Struggling with restless despair, his world tightens around him, leading to a fracturing of his reality as memory, trauma, and imagination collide. With raw emotional force, this film explores the psychological cost of being viewed as a mere case rather than a human being, blurring the lines between survival and surrender.
