OVER DIT EVENEMENT

Children aged 2 to 6 will have their first cinema experience in our cozy screening room. On Sunday mornings, toddlers and preschoolers will enjoy Taartrovers Cinemini, a special program where they can watch enchanting short films and play in a beautifully crafted light landscape. During Taartrovers Cinemini, we showcase lovely, exciting, abstract, narrative, and sometimes challenging short films tailored for young children. After the films, attendees can explore and interact within the light landscape, which features various installations that let children discover how light can create stories. They will investigate shape, projection, light, shadow, storytelling, movement, and color. How do shadows form? Where do images come from? How do shapes become larger or smaller and vanish into thin air? What stories can they see in these shapes? While shadows may seem ordinary to adults, to children, they are magical, turning adults into tall giants. PROGRAM: Get to know the insect family. With its surprising perspective, beautiful sound effects, and charming animation style, the series is a hit in France. Notably, the directors have interspersed the animations with documentary footage, bringing nature even closer. MINUSCULE: Thomas Szabo & Hélène Giraud, 2006, France, 25 minutes. In Minuscule, the animals narrate their own adventures. Insects may seem tiny, but when you view the world through their eyes, everything changes. Ants, spiders, crane flies, and ladybugs take on human traits and get embroiled in humorous everyday situations. Join the insects on an adventure through meadows filled with grass and flowers!
