In their second performance, "Poeha," Kevin and Manon of Blauwe Vinkjes once again shape a revue-style theatrical performance with a contemporary vision and form. With their debut performance, Blauwe Vinkjes took the Dutch theaters by storm last season. Kevin van den Berg and Manon Blaauw jumped into the cabaret scene as bold autodidacts, learning to navigate the stage as they went along, and have remained afloat ever since. And how! The cabaret duo performed a record number of shows and captivated an enthusiastic audience. Director Ruut Weissman describes their style as ‘a traditional theatrical form in the spirit of this time.’ In 2025-2026, Manon and Kevin will present their second theater performance, yet again shaping a revue-style show with a contemporary vision and form. In ‘Poeha,’ Blauwe Vinkjes seizes the opportunity to become even more personal. Without hesitation, they point out the sore spots for everyone, mercilessly critiquing everyday nonsense. In their characteristic style, they expand, reflect, and twist recognizable situations. From consent to content and from opera to amusement park; anything goes, and nothing is left untouched. Expect an evening full of thrilling and hilarious sketches, colorful characters, catchy songs, all finely woven with current events. Blauwe Vinkjes was a finalist at the Cameretten cabaret festival in 2021 and went home that same year with the Audience Award from the Amsterdam Student Cabaret Festival.
