Cinemini: Extraordinary Fish Adventures

Children aged 2 to 6 will enjoy their very first cinema experience in our cozy screening room! Join us on Sunday mornings for Taartrovers Cinemini, a special program where toddlers and preschoolers immerse themselves in delightful short films and then play in a stunning landscape of light. During Taartrovers Cinemini, we'll showcase beautiful, enchanting, thrilling, abstract, storytelling, and sometimes challenging short films, crafted specifically for young audiences. Following the screening, children will explore and play in a light landscape filled with various installations that allow them to discover how light can create stories. They can investigate form, projection, light, shadow, narratives, movement, and color. How do shadows form? Where do images come from? How do shapes grow or shrink, and how can they disappear into nothing? What stories can they see within the shapes? For adults, shadows may seem mundane, but for children, they could be magical, transforming adults into towering giants. PROGRAM: Do you sometimes feel small among all those big people? And do you find fish lovely or perhaps a little scary? Or would you save a fish if it ran out of water, helping it find its way back home, just like in the film?
