ABOUT THIS EVENT

What does the world look like from a robot’s point of view? How do robots perceive humans, and what does this reveal about ourselves? Roboverse attempts to give us an immersive experience through a robotic lens. The stage will be occupied by a zoo of robotic creatures including a four-legged SPOT, a small mobile KUKA, Dorna arms, and drones. This vibrant mix of centaurs and hybrid beings forms the core narrative to retell the ancient story of humans and technology. By combining puppetry, mythology, human physicality, and robotics, Roboverse becomes a choreography of mutating forms that balance the familiar with the strange, the intimate with the spectacular. Focusing on both humans and robots, Director Ulrike Quade and dramaturg Maaike Bleeker blend artistic and technological research, enriching this magical world with pressing questions. Composer Farzaneh Nouri creates a layered electro-acoustic soundscape that transports the audience to this peculiar realm. Excludes refreshments.
