Bambie Plays Bambi: A New Perspective

Who hasn't grown up with the story of Bambi? In 'Bambie Plays Bambi', the lines between Disney fantasy and the harsh elements of nature collide. This visual and emotionally charged performance explores themes of solitude, survival, and the quest for one's own destiny. Delve into the story of the beloved fawn that started it all. The most famous children's film of all time depicts an idyllic forest filled with talking animals, friendship, and romance. Yet beneath that charming exterior lies a darker tale. In the original 1923 book, nature is ruthless and indifferent; survival means learning to rely on oneself. 'Bambie Plays Bambi' contrasts these two worlds and investigates what remains when romance fades away. Iconic scenes are reimagined physically: birth, slipping on ice, the mother's death, and the hormonal awakening of love. The forest becomes a home where natural elements intrude, and human figures exhibit animal instincts. Three individuals in 'Bambie Plays Bambi' seek their personal answers to the question of our 'natural' destiny and what life lessons are necessary to grow up in today's world.
