A Captivating Journey by Tg. Winterberg

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Join the new multimedia performance by Tg. Winterberg featuring live music, animations, and plenty of trains. This heartwarming tale explores themes of loneliness and making new friends. Hop on this adventurous train journey filled with unique characters. Every day, Vosse waits on the platform for visitors. People come and go, but no one comes for her. Until she decides to embark on a quest for company. She boards the train and sets off on an adventurous journey filled with surprises, encounters, and newfound friendships. "Searching for Visitors" is a visual and interactive theater performance suitable for everyone aged 4 and up. Theater maker Marlyn Coetsier invites the young audience into a whimsical world of puppets, animations, and live video. As the train travels through a miniature landscape of wooden tracks and scenery, Vosse and the other passengers discover that it’s not the destination that matters, but the friends you make along the way. The performance takes place in an intimate setting, where the audience sits on benches and cushions around the performance area. Through animations and projections, the world comes to life: trains come and go, landscapes rush by, and crowds of people get on and off. The young audience becomes actively involved – they lay the tracks, operate the drawbridge, and hold up the stop signs. Together, they help build the world of the performance, filled with hope that Vosse will eventually find friends. "Searching for Visitors" is inspired by the book of the same name by W. Slawski.
