Siblings in Comedy: Verbroedering

Roel and Jos are brothers, a fact that often surprises people due to their stark differences. Known for their work on the satirical VPRO TV program 'Plakshot', they're stepping onto the theater stage together for the first time with their cabaret show, 'Verbroedering'. This contemporary cabaret performance tackles pressing issues like the crumbling democracy, the climate crisis, and rising polarization. How do we tackle today's problems? With hope or pessimism? By adapting or by staying true to oneself? With a wink or a jest? In short: with Roel or with Jos?! Having battled it out for seven seasons on 'Plakshot', they now take their rivalry to the theater stage. Roel is excited about this performance, while Jos is doubtful as he has never acted in a theater before. The Netherlands gains two more iconic brothers: in 1672, the de Witt brothers were lynched, in 1990, the de Boer brothers won the Champions League, and in 2004, the Ko brothers had a horn on their water scooter. Roel and Jos may not have a horn or a scooter, but they now have a full evening's performance!
