Mata

Mata is a female a cappella ensemble founded in 2019 at the Maastricht Conservatory. Since then, the five singers – Ariane Baur, Lorena Dürnholz, Tabea Koloska, Marie Weis, and Marie Pack – have enchanted audiences with their unique blend of jazz, classical, and pop influences, creating a distinctive and unforgettable sound. They perform in flexible formations, either as a quartet or quintet, bringing music to life through their own arrangements and compositions in a way that is fresh, dynamic, and full of surprises. The sound of Mata is curious, bold, and energetic, yet pure, warm, and always profound. The voices of the five women merge into a rich, uniform sound, bringing to life each singer's unique tonal color.
