ABOUT THIS EVENT

In the documentary performance HeartBeats, Nastaran Razawi Khorasani envisions the unimaginable by presenting stories of individuals confronting their mortality. This performance is based on conversations between Nastaran and a terminally ill peer who, like Nastaran, is a young mother of two. How does she perceive life? What are her daily experiences and desires? Does death signify the end, or will she live on in another form? Nastaran reflects, “With my own children, I realize how vulnerable life is. My fear of death has never been greater. How to live?” Collaborating with the team behind her acclaimed works *Songs for No One* and *This Is Not a Dance*, Nastaran crafts a documentary, physical, and visual performance where the voice of the woman, light, and music pulse with their own heartbeat, creating an ever-evolving space that envisions a world beyond death.
