ABOUT THIS EVENT
David Hordijk embarks on a journey across the land, moving from piano to piano, sharing tales of old adventures while searching for the essence of our beautiful country. In his performance 'To the End of the Earth', David recounts his 2500-kilometer trek from Santiago de Compostela to the Spanish Finisterre. By means of a crowdfunding campaign, he managed to take his piano along and held a concert on the cliffs.
Through personal anecdotes and supported by his own piano compositions, David invites you to experience his monumental journey filled with stunning visuals. 'My intention has always been to become freer. When you walk for such a long time, you gain a great distance from your normal life, allowing you to see what truly matters to you. This entire adventure has given me much more trust in whatever life may bring.'
This special edition at Natlab marks the kickoff of David's national tour, with a special focus on Eindhoven, exploring local stories, including those related to the piano at the station and reflections on past events surrounding the curfew riots. Join him in that quest with the audience to uncover the story of Eindhoven.
